The work often starts before there’s anything to design.
Some projects begin with a rough idea. Others arrive with too much information, too many stakeholders, or a process that no longer works.
I organize the message, choose the right format, and build the finished communication. My background spans design, video, presentations, web, intranets, internal communications, and production workflows, so I can see how the pieces need to work together while still caring about the quality of every finished piece.
See the Work in Motion
Selected video, motion, brand, and communication work from across my career.
Selected Case Studies
A closer look at the problems, decisions, constraints, and work behind the finished deliverables.
Building a Global Live Stream in Seven Days
A leadership update needed to reach more than 1,200 employees across 20-plus offices. I built the live-streaming solution and supported the executive communications surrounding it.
Keeping a Fully Remote Workforce Connected
At PCI, I supported a recurring communication rhythm across CEO videos, intranet publishing, quarterly meetings, company updates, and culture content for approximately 200–300 remote associates.
Using AI to Untangle a Video Workflow
I used AI as a thinking partner to map a complicated production process, surface exceptions and missing decisions, and design a clearer system for managing video projects.
“I had the pleasure of hiring April to join my Communications Team at Capital One in 2020.
Even though she was only with us for a short period of time, the value she provided to our team was unparalleled. I was truly amazed with her customer focus, top notch creative skills and speed to delivery while juggling numerous projects, including executive videos, graphics, intra net redesigns, slide creation and more. Everything she touched turned into gold, and everyone she worked with raved about her incredible skillset. I would hire her again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself in the future.”
