Intranet Development
I’ve worked on various intranet platforms like Sharepoint and most recently, ThoughtFarmer. Developing and improving intranet usage and engagement has become a passion of mine and has become a huge part of my Web skills. One of my proudest moments was launching a global intranet that I created using WordPress and various plugins.

An efficiently developed intranet not only enhances internal operations but also plays a crucial role in cultivating a unified corporate culture and improving overall productivity. The development process includes careful consideration of user experience, security protocols, and scalability to ensure the platform meets the evolving needs of the organization.
On the left is the intranet I built on a WordPress platform for a global company with around 1500 employees. The homepage included widgets that could be rearranged based on the individual’s preference. There was a sliding banner for important, all company announcements at the top, front and center. On the right I created a side bar that included personal bookmarks, times for global time zones, and upcoming special events. I partnered with leaders in all departments to create spaces tailored to their needs. For example, Sales had links to trainings and tips for success as well as a message board just for them. The IT department had me create a space for them to house process documents and procedures linked to their google drives for easy update.
These are examples of an Intranet I administered using the ThoughtFarmer platform. There wasn’t alot of customization I was able or allowed to do, but I could “decorate” it with a custom skin that matched the company’s annual theme.
