Executive & Internal Communications

My work has grown from multimedia production and expanded into internal communications, executive presentations, employee campaigns, intranet content, internal brand systems, and culture-focused communication. I help turn leadership messages, business updates, employee programs, and company priorities into materials that are clear, useful, and visually consistent.

At Research Now / Dynata, I partnered closely with Internal Communications, HR, Training, Legal, Sales, and executive leadership to create communication materials for a global employee audience. The work included all-hands meeting content, executive presentations, employee campaigns, branded templates, internal emails, intranet assets, video content, event materials, and communication systems used across departments.

  • Designed and produced materials for quarterly all-hands meetings, town halls, leadership updates, acquisition announcements, and employee campaigns.
  • Created executive and employee-facing presentations that helped organize business updates, leadership messages, and company priorities.
  • Developed branded templates for presentations, internal emails, announcements, intranet pages, and recurring communications.
  • Produced video and multimedia content used in all-hands meetings, employee campaigns, culture initiatives, and leadership communications.

Employee Engagement & Culture Campaigns

I also created communication materials that supported employee connection, participation, and culture-building. These projects helped employees engage with the company beyond standard updates and gave internal campaigns a stronger visual identity.

This work included campaign graphics, teaser videos, recap videos, event materials, internal brand pieces, signage, and employee-facing content tied to company values, recognition, participation, and culture.

  • Created teaser and recap videos for employee participation campaigns.
  • Designed branded graphics and communication assets for internal events and team challenges.
  • Supported culture-focused messaging through video, design, email, intranet content, and presentation materials.
  • Helped make internal communications feel more visual, approachable, and connected to the employee experience.

Communication Templates & Systems

One of the most valuable parts of this work was building repeatable systems. I created templates and visual standards that helped teams communicate more consistently without starting from scratch every time.

These systems supported internal communications, HR, Training, leadership updates, employee campaigns, department announcements, and company-wide meetings.

  • PowerPoint templates for executive and internal presentations
  • Outlook email templates for announcements and leadership communications
  • Intranet page layouts and content structures
  • Video intro/outro graphics and lower thirds
  • Campaign graphics, signage, and event communication materials
  • Branded assets for internal events, employee challenges, and recurring meetings

Recommendation

This recommendation speaks directly to the kind of communication work I enjoy most: helping companies connect internal communications, marketing, culture, and digital platforms into one clearer employee experience.

“I sought April out to help us with our internal communications, marketing, and company intranet. She’s the absolute best. Creative, smart, amazing judgment, and a true student of culture as the lens for all communications. I am so excited to be working with her for the second time.”

How I Approach Communications

I care about making communication clear, credible, and human. Whether I am designing an executive presentation, editing a video, building an intranet page, or creating a campaign graphic, my goal is the same: help the message make sense to the audience.

Good communication is not just about making something look polished. It is about understanding what people need to know, what they may be confused by, what should stand out, and how the message should feel coming from the company or leader behind it.

That is where my background in design, video, web, internal communications, and culture-focused storytelling is most useful. I can think through the message, the audience, the format, and the final creative execution so the communication feels intentional from start to finish.
